Dave favorite (or davorite) Guillermo del Toro has officially announced that he will be directing The Hobbit. I liked the LotR trilogy as much as the next basement dweller, but the mere thought of G del T helming this thing is enough to send me into fits of giddy, some might say girlish delight. The man is a certified badass, or in his native tongue, mal asno certificado. Rumor has it that Ron Perlman won’t work with you unless you arm wrestle him into submission. Guillermo del Toro has cast him thrice. You do the math.
